How to Show Steam Games to Your Friends
The reason for this is that Steam is a game platform — the account is public since people with the same interests in games can connect and play games together. But if you’re the type who enjoys playing childish games, you might want to try and hide from your friends.
Method 1: Making Account Private
Another amazing solution is to make your account private. This allows you to see only the games you play, and the games you don’t play at all.
- Log into Steam, right-click your username in the top right corner, and select View My Profile from the context menu.
- Go to Edit Profile then select the Privacy Settings on the left.
- Click on the downward pointing arrow next to the Game details, and select Private.
Method 2: Blocking
One way is to block your friends on Steam so that they won’t know what games you are playing more often.
- Click Friends and Chat in the bottom right corner in Open Steam.
- Under Manage, select the friend you want to block and hit block all communications.
How to Hide Steam Gaming Activity
If you want to take your privacy a little bit further, and even hide that you’re gaming and want to see who you’re gaming with, this will be able to do that for you. Don’t show them what games you are currently playing, just put yourself offline.
- Click on Friends in the menu bar of the Steam app.
- Select the Offline from the context menu now.
Why Would I Hide a Game on Steam?
