Sometimes, if you are an Android or even iPhone user, you may need to get your own phone number. Knowing your telephone number is crucial when, for instance, filling in a form on the web, handing it to a friend, or creating a new profile online. However, given the vast number of settings, options, and menus on these phones, you may not find your phone number on your Android or iPhone.
How to Find Your Phone Number on Android Phone and iPhone Device
In this guide, I’ll be showing how you various techniques to tone numbers on any Android or iPhone.
Method 1: Check the Settings app
Getting your phone number on Android is the easiest if you check your device settings.
- Click Settings on your Android gadget.
- If you scroll down, you will find the About Phone option.
- Tap on Status.
- Next tap on SIM Card Status.
- Now, you can see their Phone Number.

Method 2: Use the Contacts App (For iPhone Users)
A second method to look at your telephone number on Android is also the Contacts app that was included in the operating system.
- Open the Contact application of the iPhone.
- Go to the top of the list and click on your contact card.
- Note- To see full information, click on the Me or My Card and find your contact card.
Method 3: Dial a Special Code
Some cell carriers provide particular codes that you can type to see your phone number directly on the screen. While typing out code for a phone dialer is very easy simply open your phone dialer application then type the code for your phone number as if you were to make a call and your phone number should appear on the screen.
- On most Android gadgets dial *#06# on your phone to have your phone number flashed on a small window.
- For customers of T-Mobile and Sprint in the USA, the code to find the answer is #NUM# or #686#.
Note: These codes don’t work with all carriers, so if you don’t have any luck, check out the other options on this page.
Method 4: Check Your SIM Card Packaging
If you still have the original packaging for your SIM card there should be the number printed on it. Other information like your SIM card’s serial number (ICCID) should be on a sticker.
Method 5: Log in to Carrier’s Website or App
Most cell carriers have a site or mobile app that allows you to access and manage your phone number through your account. Here’s how to find your number with these tools:
- Open your carrier’s website or download their official app on Google Play Store as well. TMobile, Verizon, etc.
- With your credentials; username, password or any relevant credentials login to your account.
- Head to the Account Overview area.
- Find a line about My Number or Phone Number. And here should present your telephone number.

Method 6: Call a Friend
And if you don’t know all those other numbers, there’s always a friend or family member to call to find your phone number. Take these simple steps:
- Have a friend or family member there to pick up the phone to take your call and write down the number on their caller ID.
- If you have installed the dialer app on your Android device, then you’ll call your friend’s number on it.
- Make them call you back by asking them to begin from their caller ID.
